Tigers knock off rival KU in Homecoming 50th Anniversary Game
Mizzou Rugby celebrated its 50th anniversary of existence in their Saturday game against rival University of Kansas. With many alumni in attendance, the Tigers celebrated with a 31-19 win over KU. Center Adam Cooley started the scoring with a kick and chase over the KU backline which he reeled in and scored. Wing Nick Romano took a run down the left sideline and beat the fullback to put the Tigers up 14-0. James Glavin broke a tackle in the midfield and took it the distance for a try, then followed with another to put the Tigers up 26-0 at the half. Mizzou tacked on one more try before the KU offense got rolling a bit and put up 19 straight points late in the second half and pulled the score to 31-19. Mizzou’s win against KU makes them 2-0 in Heart of America play. Up next against Oklahoma State.
